Dear prospective member

I am writing this letter of invitation in a profoundly complex time in the global picture where the world is dealing with deep crisis in its financial markets; where large segments of its population are swamped by hurricanes and other natural disasters; where anticipated changes in governance and leadership in many nations including South Africa, Israel, Cuba, Australia, Russia, the USA and Pakistan are happening; where Europe is struggling to continue to build its identity through strengthening its financial collaboration in a way that is un-precedent in its history.

Conference Aims and Primary Task

THE PRIMARY TASK of the conference is:

to study the exercise of authority in the taking up of roles through the interpersonal, inter-group and institutional relations that develop within the conference as an organisation in its context.

Methodology

The Leicester conference is designed for those who are looking to develop their leadership capacity to effect change in work groups and organisations and to improve their ability to work with complex and challenging issues.

So there are no presenters as such, instead the conference consultant staff, working in the various events, offer working hypotheses based on their experiences and understanding of what is happening in the

This conference is for leaders, entrepreneurs, managers, educators, researchers, consultants, clergy, clinicians, administrators, service providers, professional and technical workers

Role of Staff

The conference staff work together as collective management to hold and maintain the boundaries of the conference institution. Working in their consultancy roles in the various here-and-now events, staff are informed by their own experiences of the events and work to the primary task of the event and the conference overall.

They will offer working hypotheses based on their understanding of what is happening. Conference staff are not observers of the process but are actively involved in it.
